UNICEF

Initiative Overview

UNICEF Ireland collaborates with leading global and national organisations, including companies, foundations and schools to promote the rights of children in everything we do.  Working across 190 countries, we transform our commitment into on-the-ground action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children. We stand for every child. This is a huge challenge.

Now more than ever, funding is required to help care for the world’s most vulnerable children. A donation from your company is another way our supporters can bring hope to the lives of children across the world. This is your time to be a hero in a child’s life.

Together, we can change children’s lives, now and in the future.

How does my donation help?

UNICEF is working to realise the right to immunisation for every woman and child, especially the most vulnerable. Immunisation saves 2 to 3 million lives each year. By protecting children against serious diseases, vaccines play a central role in ending preventable child deaths. COVID-19 is disrupting life-saving immunisation services around the world, putting children – in rich and poor countries alike – at risk.

As part of our work to prevent this pandemic from becoming a child rights crisis, UNICEF has begun preparations for the roll-out of a COVID-19 vaccine. UNICEF will work with manufacturers and partners on the procurement of vaccine doses as well as freight, logistics and storage of COVID-19 vaccines for 92 low- and lower middle-income countries.

All funds raised through this page will go directly towards realising the goals of this initiative.
